The First two basic workshops occurred in April of 2008 in Kathmandu. Ken Woods, Katherine Smith, Malcolm smith, John Michaelis and Aletia facilitated few workshops together with Subhash Kittel. There are 30 facilitators.
We are working in the areas of Victim of sex trafficking, Bhutanes refugees, Victim of substantial users, Local Community, Public school/collage – teachers and students and university and Community based organizations/ NGOs. AVP Nepal is organizing AVP basic, Advance Training for facilitators, Trauma healing and Discernment workshop as its needs in different areas.
AVP workshops initiated in Bhutanese refugee’s camp in September 2012.
AVP workshops started in Pokhara area (Kaski, Parbat and Tanahun districts of Nepal) in 2013 with the connections of Ram Chandra Paudel at CHILDREN-Nepal. They are mainly focus in public school teacher, students, parents and community. Until now there 35 facilitators! They have facilitated more than 30 workshops including basic, advance and T4F.
AVP workshops started in Surkhet, far western part of Nepal in May 2014.
There are diverse and experienced facilitators in Nepal who have translated AVP basic manual into Nepal, developed AVP Youth manual new and creative activities for Nepal. Some facilitator are more experience school education, some of them are experience on psychosocial counseling trauma healing and so on.
AVP Nepal is a non-profit organization legally founded in 2017 July. It has successfully hosted the AVP World Gathering from 5-11 November 2047 in Kathmandu
